Hi, I’m kim knox.

I believe in a collaborative and client-centered approach, where your unique needs and preferences guide the therapeutic process. Whether you are facing issues related to anxiety, depression, trauma, relationships, or other concerns, I am here to help you develop coping skills, increase self-awareness, and build resilience.

I often refer to my therapeutic approach as a walk home for clients, where you will lead the way and I will accompany you and set a pace that feels good to you, as I facilitate healing along the way. Throughout our journey together, I will be there for support as we travel down the dark alleys, as well as cheering you on and building you up, as we make our way through the beautiful back roads.

Together, we can cultivate an atmosphere where hearts can speak freely and souls can find solace. I would be honored to travel this journey together…are you ready to begin that walk?

My Background

I completed my Masters of Art in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Richmont Graduate University and was awarded the Hanshew Clinical Excellence Award for exemplifying excellent clinical skills as a counseling intern. It is a mission of mine to provide a safe and validating space for clients to share their thoughts and emotions, and to promote self-discovery & healing. It is truly a heart desire of mine to see you not just survive in life but to thrive in it.

I was born and raised on the south side of Atlanta, and it is important for me to serve the community that has shaped me into the person and therapist that I am today. It is also my mission to serve marginalized populations and increase the support around this diverse community. During my graduate program, I had the honor of being selected as a Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA) Fellow and received specialized training to help fulfill my mission and better meet the needs of marginalized populations.

In my free time, I recharge by spending time with my loved ones, in nature, and traveling. One of my favorite hobbies is photography, and almost every picture on this website is evidence of my love of nature and taking pictures. I hope you enjoy some of the moments of nature that was captured and I look forward to learning about you and your passions.
